The Dumps

These boys are the typical kids in the slums that we found not in school...carrying trash they've found in the dump piles that they think they can sell to make a little money for food. The children in our feeding program no longer have to do this. They are eating 2 meals a day and getting fed spiritually, mentally and emotionally as well!! Thanks to all who make it possible for us to serve the 2100 children in our program. All glory, honor and praise be unto Jesus!

They No Longer Hear Their Hunger

Today we visited one of our newest schools in our feeding program called "Light and Hope" School. This is no ordinary school because within its walls are extraordinary children.  LHS is a school that serves special needs children in an area where there are so many needs around every corner.  Some of these children do not have their sight, and can not walk or talk.  Yet, they are loved with a gigantic love from the teachers and chaplains that get the opportunity to interact with them on a day to day basis. No Hungry Children helps this school by feeding these children twice a day every school day.  One of the teachers said, "It was very hard to get our kids to focus on their tasks when they were so hungry.  Now, our job has become easier because they no longer hear their hunger."  What a joy to hear those words! Our desire has been that these children no longer hear their hunger so another voice, a much greater voice can be heard... the voice of the Father.

Feeding Children is No Small Affair

Day one of our visit to our Nairobi feeding program has gone really well. We are reminded of how just two days ago we were telling our partners at NorthStar Church during our "Night Of Worship" just how far their dollar would go.  As we see the smiling faces of these children who are about to eat standing in a line for their morning breakfast, we also see the faces of our generous supporters who gave in order to meet the vast need here in Kenya.  Thank you so much No Hungry Children Community!
